Forgotten mountains

The truest thing about cycling is old mate Greg lemonds saying:



It never gets easier, you just go faster.

There's nothing worse than plateauing, hitting that peak but faltering and lagging behind suddenly and never cresting it. You're missing out. You're stuck it s holding pattern. And the tighter your circle of riding mates, the more pronounced that plateau. It's not even a plateau, its just you going backwards.

And the worst part about cycling:

If you're not going faster, you're going backwards.

You're either spiralling up, or spiralling down. And you don't realise you've changed direction until momentum has tipped past terminal.

It's the law baby.

No jokes because cycling ain't no joke. It is scenic though, so I guess have this:
